Five first grade classes heard a reading of Kristl popp-Kinn Saves the Day”. Teachers had prepared student to meet an author. Everyone was excited and engaged. It was the first time for “Live” Kristl in costume. Class pictures included both cardboard and “live” Kristl. All 130 first graders made “ThankYou” booklets. Very enjoyable experience to read all booklets.
There were four groups of kindergarteners. School had purchased 2 books to be signed for their library. First use of huge cardboard cutout of Kristl Popp-Kinn! Each class had photo taken with Kristl and Nann Leeds. Snowman made from “magic” snow a big hit!
Two groups of preschool and kindergarten students asked question included queries about where to buy the book. Snowman made from “magic” snow recipe was a big hit!
In observance of World Read Aloud Day teachers had prepared the students to meet an author. The children could distinguish the work of an author from that of an illustrator. Classes of preschool – second grade. They were excited about the recipe given for making “magic” snow.
